Ingredients
4 carrots
2 parsley roots
2 potatoes
0,5 celery root
5 pickled cucumbers
3 onions
4 hard boiled eggs
1 can of peas or corn
1 tablespoon mustard
5 tablespoons mayonnaise
Salt and pepper
The amount and kind of ingredients depends on the likes of the cook. Often a cubed apple is added to the salad.
Preparation
- Cook carrots, parsley roots, the celery root and potatoes in skin, cool them and then peel the skin and cube them
- Dice the onion and pour boiling water over it, scald it and drain the water
- The eggs should be hard boiled, cooled and diced
- Place all the ingredients in a bowl; add previously drained peas or corn.
- Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, pepper and salt to season
Serving:
Serve with bread, cold cuts or herring in oil.
