Culinary Europe without bordersAccording to the research on eating tendencies in various European coutries, fortunately, so far the blend of eating habits between countries is observed, instead of the dominion of the anglo-saxon model. In southern European countries, such as Italy or Spain the market of products coming from the countries of Northern Europe (such as breakfast cereals) develops most rapidly. Meanwhile, in the countries of Northern Europe more and more shares in the market is won by the products from the south (pasta, olive oil or wine).
Exotic restaurants - the taste of world cuisineFish and fruits of the sea which are typical for Mediterranean or Atlantic countries, gain more and more amateurs in Central Europe. The overlapping of culinary cultures is enhanced by the presence of a growing number of exotic restaurants which encourage people to discover new cuisines. The interest in exotic or ethnic products comes along with the growth of a cultural level of the population, urbanization, more frequent travelling or internationalization of mass-media. All of them allow to get to know one another better and offer new inspirations for the development of national and regional cuisines.
