What is the Minute process?
In 1993, an inventive device was constructed: the industrial boiler for steaming. This revolutionary Bonduelle method allows all benefits resulting from traditional steaming to be maintained in the industrial production process.

The cooperation with the Pasteur Institute in Lille enabled us to eliminate the risk of product pollution at these points of the production line where it could occur.

Safe vegetablesThe whole "Minute" process is covered by the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).
The system was developed with the aim of providing microbiological safety to the food for astronauts. In case of food production for the needs of space flights there occurred particular necessity of ensuring that the food would not be infected or spoiled during its processing.

The HACCP system was developed by Pillsbury Company, which cooperates with NASA and the US army laboratories. At present the system is applied in various size plants operating in the food industry all over the world. The Bonduelle Group attaches great importance to production of safe food. Therefore, the whole "Minute" process is covered by the HACCP standard too.

Do not lose taste or colourThe steaming method has been used for a long time not only in catering. Today the advantages of this method over traditional cooking of vegetables with water are almost obvious.
 
Vegetables are steamed according to the special technology developed by Bonduelle: the „Minute” process takes place with no additional loss in water and at the same time vitamins and mineral salts included in vegetables are preserved. Vegetables that are cooked in this way keep their natural taste, vivid colour and appropriate consistency.

In one word, upon preparation they look and taste the same as fresh vegetables with the advantage that they can be prepared more quickly for consumption, which is a chief asset in mass nutrition, also in restaurants.
