Contains carotene, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, manganese, iron, copper, phosphorous, chlorine, iodine and vitamins: B1, B2, B6, C.
Antioxidant
Kohlrabi is rich in antioxidants and anti cancer substances, due to which eating it has a significant preventative effect against cancers. The greatest amount of beneficial substances are to be found in young leaves.
Serving kohlrabi
Kohlrabi has a delicate sweet taste, it can be eaten raw cut up in strips, added to salads, it’s also tasty when cooked or steamed, as well as when minced with meats or fish.
