Not everyone realizes how difficult it may be to put on a few pounds. A „fattening” diet should be introduced slowly and systematically so that the body would not be exceedingly burdened.

Healthy Ways to Gain Weight.
Basic principles of the diet: - before main meals drink half a glass of vegetable or fruit juice – it will increase your appetite
- eat meals 5 to 6 times a day, always at the same time of the day
- include in your menu the dishes you like the best
- After bigger meals, for example, after dinner, take a rest for 30 minutes

What you need
Initially it should be a low-calorie diet and the amount of calories should be increased gradually, up to 3000-3500 per day. Protein should constitute 15% of it, fats 30%, and carbohydrates 55%.

Moderate introduction of fats (12 dag per day) and an even distribution of the doses in all the meals will provide you with energy and will not cause an undesired repulsion to eating or hyperacidity. Three teaspoons of butter and 2 spoonfuls of oil a day are sufficient - but remember about unsaturated fatty acids the source of which are soya and sunflower oil as well as olive oil – the most wholesome of all the fats. The excess of carbohydrates easily gets transformed into fatty tissue, so in your menu you should include sugar, honey, white bread, pasta and fruit juices. Soya and other leguminous plants are indispensible – don’t forget also about vitamins and minerals which help absorb nutritional substances.

Breakfast
White and yellow cheese and cocoa are great elements of your breakfast. For diversification we recommend boiled milk with an egg yellow, mash made of rice or groats.
Dinner
It should comprise poultry or veal meat, moderately spiced for taste, first steam-boiled and then they can be fried. The same goes for fish. A great supplement is potato purée with fresh butter or sour cream.
Desert
Fattening delicacy may be broccoli salad with other vegetables and fat (olive oil) as well as any apperitives comprising nuts, dried fruits and dairy products.
Supper
You may end your day with a meal made from eggs.
