How to eat frogs legs?
Frogs legs have become internationally famous. This delicacy is associated with the French cuisine, but nowadays it’s not only consumed in France. The thighs are separated just above the muscle, the skin’s removed, then they’re then smoothed out and pierced by wooden grill sticks. When they’re prepared this way, they can be served at the tables of gourmets.
Frogs legs are really exquisite, with very delicate meat. They tend to remind us of the most delicate poultry. We eat them in a very convenient way: since the meat is rather delicate and we need to break it up and eat it with our fingers and French cuisine traditionalists don’t allow for the use of a knife and fork. Although you can come across dishes with frogs legs in a sauce, only then cutlery is permitted. Restaurants serving the dish, usually provide little bowls with water and lemon to rinse your fingers.
It’s not difficult to prepare frogs legs at home. The easiest method is to fry them in bread crumbs and butter. In the Thai cuisine, on the other hand, they prefer to serve them with chilli, basil, garlic and fish sauces.
