How many calories in alcohol

Although drinking alcoholic beverages has been part of human rituals for a very long time, it’s difficult to commend it for its nutritious value. Alcohol can lower the levels of our bodies’ most important vitamins and minerals, such as vitamins B, C, and K, zinc, magnesium and potassium.

The influence of alcohol on the human body
Alcohol also has a bad influence on health, therefore pregnant and breastfeeding women are not supposed to drink. Even a small amount can inhibit the liver’s ability to metabolize glucose and eliminate toxins from the body. Intensive drinking will destroy liver, brain, and blood vessels; it handicaps blood coagulation, increases the appearance of varicose veins, haemorrhoids, blood clots, damaging the prostate and causes infertility. It also speeds up the development of diseases and ailments connected to age, such as heart failure, cataracts, and skin wrinkles. It fosters such mental disorders as fears, depression, with emotional and mental imbalance. Alcohol interferes with the functioning of nerve cells and the brain, leads to loss of memory, makes it difficult to remember things and assimilate new information, it causes stability imbalance, weakens reflexes, limits concentration, makes it more difficult to take decisions. Even interfering with the activities of our senses i.e. sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch and can also cause hallucinations.
Drinking wine and beer in moderate amounts, as with the French cuisine - especially in social situations, - can be a pleasant thing; sometimes it lowers stress levels. It raises blood pressure, when drank in small amounts, therefore it is recommended for people with hypertension. However, we must remember that it can lead to addiction.
