Ingredients
Dough:
2 cups powdered milk
1 tbsp flour
½ cup milk
1 tsp butter (ghee)
margarine for frying
Syrup:
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 tsp rose water
cardamom seeds
Preparation
- Combine thoroughly flour with powdered milk. Warm regular milk, add butter. Pour milk into flour mixture and knead.
- Make 25 small round balls and place them on a buttered plate.
- Melt ghee butter in a pan, to start frying throw in one ball – it should drop to the bottom and after a little while it should resurface. When it turns brown you can take it out.
- Syrup: crash cardamom seeds, place them in a pan and add sugar and water. Bring to boil and cook for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool, add rose water.
- Dip gulab jamun balls in syrup and leave them in it for a couple of hours.
Serving:Serve warm in syrup.
