1 . Are frozen vegetables initially processed in salted water?
Frozen vegetables undergo a preliminary preparation in steam or hot water, with no salt added.
2 . Can Bonduelle frozen purree products be served to babies?
We do not manufacture special products for children and infants so it would be advisable to consult it with your pediatrician.
3 . Can I order Bonduelle products via Internet?
At present, it is not possible.
4 . Can I refreeze vegetables which have previously been defrosted and cooked?
We strongly advise not to do it. Freezing of vegetables in the freezer does not happen as fast as during shock freezing in industrial conditions and may lead to the loss of organoleptic properties of the vegetables (colour, taste, texture etc.). Besides, as a result of the increase of temperature, some kinds of bacteria may develop.
5 . Do Bonduelle products contain GMO?
No, our products do not contain any genetically modified organisms, according to the law in force.
6 . How long can Bonduelle jarred vegetables be kept in the refridgerator?
For 24 hours, in the temperature between 0 and 4°C.
7 . Is the wax layer which covers cans from the inside, dangerous for health?
It is a special layer used in food industry and is harmless in contact with food products.
8 . Is there any additional packaging in cartoon boxes in which frozen vegetables are packaged?
Cartoon boxes which hold our products are covered with a layer of aluminium foil used in food industry, which protects the vegetables from the direct contact with cartoon.

Nutritional value is indicated on labels (canned vegetables) and on packages (frozen products).

You should proceed according to the indications given on the labels.
11 . What is an average content of salt in Bonduelle canned vegetables?
Salt is added in the amount of 0.8-1%.
12 . What is glutamate?
Glutamate is flavour enhancer, similar to kitchen salt, which intensifies the flavour of vegetables. It can be found in some natural products (vegetables, meat, different kinds of cheese, mother’s milk etc). It is even produced in our body. Glutamate is used in food industry and is obtained in the process of fermentation. A similar process is used for production of beer, wine, yoghurt and sauerkraut.
13 . What is the difference between expiry date and best-before date?
Expiry date is the date until which the vegetables keep all of their nutritional and organoleptic properties and is different from best-before date since the latter represents the date after which the product cannot be eaten.
14 . What is the difference between the expiry date and the bar code?
Bar code (EAN code) is a transcription of the product’s name and form into digits and is by no means the expiry date of the product.
