A summer diet will be full of freshly picked vegetables, juicy fruits and fresh herbs. On the other hand, a winter diet should provide our bodies with energy and should also be geared at increasing our immunity. In wintertime, we crave for more caloric and richer dishes than usual, since our bodies need higher amounts of energy. When we are looking for long-term effects, we need to apply good eating habits to our diet. Diet should be part of a regular lifestyle and we should also be active physically. Often it helps to set daily caloric needs for our bodies. The calories are mainly responsible for maintaining our weight, its loss or increase. When we supply our bodies with the optimal amount of calories, it will regulate our metabolism and keep us from the yo-yo effect.
