A cleansing diet

Chemicals contained in food slow down the work of our intestines and make it impossible to lose weight for good. It’s worth it to get rid of these chemicals. Herbs can help you do just that – you can buy them separately or as special mixes. Some great herbs to use for this are: Lady’s mantle, or green tea extract. They don’t only cleanse the body, but they improve the work of the alimentary track, especially the liver, which needs to process all of the fat. We should have herbal teas between meals.
Renewing your menu
You don’t need a miracle diet. If you’d like to feel lighter and lose even 2 kilograms in a week, apply the following rules to your diet:
- Start eating 4-5 times a day. Taking long breaks between meals causes you to reach more often for ‘trash’ snacks. Eat a little, but eat often and you will be able to resist snacking, you’ll get used to scheduled meal times, and your body will digest all you eat.
- Don’t forget about breakfast. If you skip it or are too late, your metabolism will slow down. Research has shown that if you skip breakfast you have bouts of evening hunger.
- You should always take your own snack to work. The sandwiches and salads prepared at home will serve you better than sweet pastries and croissants bought on your way to work.
- For supper prepare light meals, mostly based on vegetables. In the winter and autumn use some healthy frozen foods.
- Drink a lot of water, it’s best if you drink still water. Start with a glass before breakfast, e.g. with a slice of lemon or a fresh mint leaf.
The list of dont’s
Make a list of foods you must strictly avoid. There won’t be too many things on this list. It’s enough to give up sweet fizzy drinks and sweet snacks and you will see your weight drop quite quickly. Exchange tea for water and choose nuts, raisins, or cranberries instead of chocolate bars and cakes.

Most fibre can be found in whole-meal foods, vegetables and fruit (with their peels). Without it it will be difficult to lose weight as well as be in good mental condition. Cellulose regulates the work of the alimentary tract and supports digestion. Even light meals, when containing fibre, will fill you up – this will protect you from snacking and wanting sweets. It absorbs many toxins from the foods we eat, and causes their fast digestion. It connects gastric acids, making their repeated absorption impossible – this way they lower the amount of cholesterol in the blood, preventing arteriosclerosis.
