Citrus diet – to make it for the carnival

Would you like to have great figure in just a month? There are no such miracles, but you can still lose some weight before New Year’s Eve and the carnival. Try to keep in mind the Christmas trap – the feasting and food accompanying the holiday season.
 
Without yo-yo effect

If you apply a diet of 1000 kcal for a whole month, you will lose about four kilograms. The diet is considered to be the most effective, since it does not result in a yo-yo effect. Additionally you can raise the effects by exercising, and applying firming lotions.

 
Don’t risk any miracle diets. If you lose weight too fast, your skin won’t have time to adjust and it is not going to be healthy for you. We suggest a tasty and easy citrus diet. You can lose from one to one and a half kilograms in just three days, and then you can count the calories and use a 1000 to 1200 kcal daily caloric intake

The immediate results of the citrus diet will motivate you to continue dieting.  It will cause the “shrinking” of your stomach and help you avoid sweets.

The recipe for a daily portion of the citrus salad (it can be prepared in the morning and stored in the fridge): peel and chop 5 oranges and 4 grapefruits, sprinkle them with 1 teaspoon of liquid honey, 5 teaspoons of lemon juice and 4 thinly chopped walnuts. Sprinkle some parsley leaves on top.

How to avoid gaining weight during the holiday season?

  • don’t fry the carp (which is a rather oily fish), but prepare it in jelly or bake it in aluminium foil.
  • don’t add roux to the cabbage with mushrooms, don’t fry the pierogis after you’ve cooked them (to reheat them just steam the pierogis you want to eat)
  • don’t pour oil over herrings, they will be less fattening if you add some low-fat cream or some yoghurt-based sauce.
  • substitute sweetener for sugar in cold desserts
  • try all the dishes but only in small portions
  • limit the sides – bread and potatoes are no holiday dishes
  • Have only one piece of cake for dessert; cake plus kutia plus fruit cake plus ginger bread is way too much!
  • in the evening, drink a cup of green tea, mint tea or wormwood extract.
  • don’t forget about exercise – a holiday family walk is a good way to burn some calories.
