Celery

Blood pressure down
In Chinese medicine celery was used as a cure for high blood pressure. Research confirmed the existence of compounds in celery, which regulate blood pressure.
Resistance up
Celery contains vitamin C, which affects our immune system strengthening our resistance against inflammations or colds.
For good wellbeing
Primarily raw celery has therapeutic properties. It is helpful in stomach ailments, rheumatism, obesity, bladder maladies. Slaws and juices made of celery are also excellent for maintaining good wellbeing (they cleanse the body of toxins).

Celery comes from a wildly growing variety in Europe and Asia on light brine marsh lands. At first it was used as a medicinal plant and table decoration. It was only in the 17th century that it became popular as a vegetable. Celery came to the United States at the beginning of the 19th century. Today it is grown in two varieties as green celery and celery root.
