How many calories does a meal contain? What’s the right weight for me? Is my diet nutritious enough? How often do we ask ourselves these questions? It‘s possible that it occurs every day, or when we’re on a diet, or even when preparing a meal. In order to calculate calories, we can sit down with a pen and a piece of paper and try to make some mysterious calculations. How much easier it is to use a calculator though? It’s almost intuitive in the way it works. Just enter the necessary data and get the results in no time at all...
We invite you to use the calculators available on the site.

BMI (Body Mass Index) calculator
If you don’t know if you have the right weight, use our BMI calculator. It will calculate your BMI precisely, allowing you to assess the amount of your body’s fatty tissue. It will show whether your weight is within the norm or not.
This will be a valuable hint if there are any deviations from the norm. When the BMI shows you’re underweight, it’s good to switch your diet to a more caloric one. On the contrary – when you are overweight, limit the calories and change your lifestyle, which can even be lifesaving.
The knowledge of BMI also helps assess the risk of illnesses connected to being overweight, such as arteriosclerosis, diabetes, hypertension, stroke or ischemic heart disease.
Daily caloric needs
Do you know how many calories you need daily in order to cover the energy loss resulting from basic digestion? On the other hand, what kind of physical activity should you do and how often should you exercise?
When we provide our bodies with the proper amount of food, sufficient for our daily energy needs, but don’t exceed the limit, we’ll maintain the same weight and proper body mass.
Before we choose a diet, we should decide about our daily energetic needs, depending on the individual metabolism, body mass, height, age, gender, and physical activity level. Our need for energy increases when we do intensive sports as well as when we grow and develop. Pregnant and nursing women, as well as those in recuperation, need a greater energy supply.

WHR - (Waist Hip Ratio)
This is the ratio of fatty tissue distribution in our whole body. Knowing the WHR allows us to assess the fat distribution in our bodies, the type of silhouette and obesity. This kind of calculator only applies to people whose BMI is higher than 25, who are overweight or obese. If your BMI is within the norm, do not use this calculator, since the results will be faulty. Also, remember that pregnant women should not use the WHR!
