Cabbage

Contains phosphorous, manganese, copper, potassium, calcium, iron, sodium and vitamins A, B, C and E.
Already in ancient Rome cabbage was highly regarded as a beneficial vegetable and used to heal various skin ailments and inflammations. It contains combinations of sulphur, which have a wonderful affect on the skin, nails and hair. Cabbage contains anti-cancer substances and aids the functioning of the thyroid gland. It can also help regulate body temperature. It also helps regulate the digestive and respiratory systems. It has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and pain killing properties.
Sauerkraut
Salted fermented fresh cabbage, i.e. sauerkraut, is a precious source of vitamin C, phytoncides, potassium, iron and zinc.

A rich source of vitamins, mineral salts, low in calories and a valuable element in the weight watchers diet, whilst in some diets cabbage is the key ingredient.
