The Brussel miracle
It began as an autonomous-growth in 1750 in the vicinity of Brussels as a cabbage variety. The Belgians state, that it was first grown in 1821 and name brussel sprouts as a regional product of which, (next to waffles, chicory, cheeses and Belgian biscuits) the Belgians are most proud. Today’s variety of brussel sprouts is resistant to frost. This plant can grow up to one meter, from 20 to 75 small, compact miniature cabbages.
