For everyone

People who are not physically active will enjoy aqua aerobics; also ones who are overweight will see its benefits (you can burn up to 600 kcal in one hour) as well as older people.

Human body gets lighter in water, so it is easier to exercise.Hydrostatic pressure in water influences chest movements. The exercise may resemble typical aerobics exercises and can be performed with all sorts of positions, choreographic figures, as well as strengthening exercises.

One needs to be immersed in water (between 20-25º C), this gives a feeling of relaxation to the muscles, and it leads to elimination of muscle contracture. The whole osteoarticular system becomes burdened, therefore this form of activity is recommended for people who are suffering from osteoporosis, and have back and joint problems or high blood pressure.

  • Warm-up. You need to be immersed in water up to your waist. Run, keep your back straight, look in front of you, raise your knees high. If the exercises are done in a swimming pool you can jump a little, standing by the wall of the pool with hands rested on the edge. Time: 3-5 minutes.

  • Main part. This is a power and endurance exercise. You can work out with or without equipment. Time: about 30 minutes.

  • Relaxation. A time to cool down for about 3 minutes.
